I have completed my first level now..... used all 99 rooms, 228 objects... blah blah

now I have a problem when playing the level....flares only seem to work at certain points of the level or more to the point, the cease to function after a few minutes play..... if I use one I have to throw it to see the effect???????

using tut1.was (of course) coastal.tga ......any ideas?

This could be a problem with animating slots...you have to leave about 10 free for in-game stuff which means your number in the info window below the editor window should not exceed around 246...and, then it would depend on how many animations are active at any given time, I believe. In your case, since you only have 228, it might be that too many are active after a certain point in the game. Make a copy of your project for experimentation purposes....eliminate some animated objects and see if this cures the problem....also try using antitriggers to turn off animations whenever they no longer need to be on such as torches burning in a room when you aren't in the room, mummies that may have been activated but aren't killed.....you can trigger things on and off as needed. Hope this works...let us know!!!

thanks Reb, I will try that........ sounds quite likely as I have one room that has 36 flame emmiters and 4 mummies... could be too much!!!!!!
